White vs Black vs Brown

Yep. So many of those things in the first list seem to hinge on religious beliefs; my god vs. your god. Why can't we all just get along?

Oh, geez, and the writing world of late has become just as bad. Maybe it always was, but the last couple of years, espeically the last few months ... sheesh.

Divide and conquer? What's to conquer? For in the end there'll be nothing but ruins and ashes, at the rate we're going as a species.

Richard, you'd think just believing in a God might unite folks but it doesn't.

Ty, maybe the conqueror worm wins. But yet, win ashes is about it.

i abstain...so much so that i choose neither boxers or briefs...

Well, just stick to boxers or briefs and keep it simple. Better yet, let your wife pick for you!

Charles, I often think of the similar divisions in the Indian context and wonder why people can't live and let live, Utopian as it sounds.

A combination: boxer briefs for me.

And so few things that unite us.

Brian, I used to be a brief man but have now gone boxers.

Riot, sometimes my wife wears mine.
But I don't wear hers.

Cloudia, thankee.

Prashant, it seems so simple sometimes but never is.

Randy, sitting on the fence eh? :)

Patti, yep.

Yeah. I used to be a briefs man, and a few years back switched to boxers. Is is something to do with getting older? Or wiser?

Charles Gramlich said...

Ty, I'm going with wiser

Uhm, sometimes it's just defining who we are, who we team with - a peaceful statement, a protest perhaps, but nothing agressive.
Otherwise I'm, with Ty's first comment (the second half).

DO we think in binaries?

Can we see ourselves without a reflection in reverse?

Szelsofa, the key is whether you are accepting of other's viewpoints. Too many aren't. Some are, of course.

Erik, good point. It seems we do.

Can't forget the ever popular Amazon versus the World.

On the bright side, most of that stuff I pretty much ignore.

However, I can truthfully say that God is Good, no matter what religion or non-religion you choose to follow.

G. B. seems religious folks would appreciate their similarities more. I know many do. But maybe it's just the others we hear most about.

Briefs to boxers or boxer briefs: The switch is necessary, due to the effect of years of gravity on male anatomy. They didn't warn me about this aspect of aging.

Charles Gramlich said...

Vic B., indeed. It never occurred to me.

Charles-dividing and conquering is a method for keeping us in weakened, vulnerable positions. Nuts..
