My first signing for the Taleran Books is coming up this next Tuesday, July 31, at 6:30 PM in the Covington Branch Library. I know that most of you reading this aren't close enough to come, although I'd love to see anyone who can, but in case anyone is considering it the address is 310 W. 21st Ave, Covington, LA. The phone there is (985) 893-6280.
I will be giving a talk on writing before the signing, which will probably last about half an hour. My topic will be on writing, primarily on dreams as story prompts and on developing suspense. After that there will be time for questions before I do any signing. I'll have copies of "Swords" and "Wings," and also of my first book, Cold in the Light, and will be able to offer a slight discount on the Amazon cost to those who attend.
Please let everyone else know who might be interested and able to attend. I'm looking forward to a fun evening.

Good luck, Charles! I bet you'll have a great time -- enjoy it. Wish I could be there!
I might be able to attend. I'm not really use to driving around the greater LA area. I live in the Northridge area and it's more like the small area I came from in Arizona. I'm going to see if I can get Emory to come with me and maybe I'll see if any of my friends would like to come. If I don't get to make it, I wish you the brightest and happiest night ever.
I'll be there in spirit. Do you sign books for spirits?
Congratulations. Have a wonderful signing!
Thanks, Michelle. I usually do enjoy these things.
Christina, thanks. That would be great if you could come. But I think it would be a long drive. I think you are in LA (Los Angeles) while I'm in LA (Louisiana).
Avery, I spirit write signatures for spirits.
SO cool, Charles! Cheers, man. Hope it's a fun crowd at the signing.
Thanks, Shauna, Erik. I'm sure it will be fun. It's gerat to talk to other people interested in books and writing.
wowi...thats kewl...enjoy...if I was able to be there, I would have loved it....but I will be there in spirit...enjoy:)
I sat down for lunch the other day, picked up my copy of "Swords" -- intending to read just the first chapter and go back to work -- and ended up reading well into the afternoon :) At chapter 10, I forced myself to put it down and get back to work.
Excellent, excellent work, Charles! I'm looking forward to picking it up again and reading more.
lol. You know I'm glad I came back to look at this. I was all dressed and trying to find it and map quest said that it would be in lower LA area. lol. You're right, that would be an EXTREMELY long drive. I was so excited though. I guess I'll have to be there in spirit too with Avery.
