I'm not that into music, so I couldn't really put together anything meaningful.
I binged through Supernatural a few months back (all the seasons on Netflix, anyway) and came to like metal because Dean's into it and they use it in a lot of the shows. One thing you figure out fairly soon is that any time the episode's recap montage is set to "Carry On My Wayward Son," it's going to be a great ep. :)

Charles, I used to listen to Black Sabbath a very long time ago and I remember liking some of the songs I heard. I still listen to Aerosmith occasionally.
This would be more interesting with reasons for each... I was wondering about "Crimson and Clover. I was trying to think of what my early song might be and it would have to be "Silence is Golden" for I remember the bubble gum song about the same time I had to write that line a few hundred times as penance for my 4th grade teacher

Angie, That whole Kansas album is pretty good. Most of it is much more mellow than Carry on.

Prashant, I still listen to old Aerosmith, not much of the new. But I have pretty much every Black Sabbath album.
Sage, I might do an expansion on it. Crimson and clover was the first "rock" song I ever heard and it really opened my ears.

Nice one, Charles. I had "White Room" and another Cream song on an early version of my list but they went on a cut, trying to get to 25. That early ZZ Top song is great, too. The further down your list I go, the less likely I am to have listed it myself. And how could I have left "Mississippi Queen" off my list???

Mark, that was the first 'rock' song I ever heard so it was like an epiphany. It did indeed start me on that road. Before I heard Crimson and Clover all I'd ever heard in our house was country and Lawrence Welk kind of music.
I put up mine before seeing yours. They are very different but you reminded me of a few I should have included.
