Wow! I didn't see that coming! And I thought I was smart because I guessed early on that the couple did it. You outtwisted me! I love it!

Charles Gramlich said...

writtenwyrd, thanks. I appreciate that.

Natasha, I put the final twist in just for folks like you! Thanks for reading.

Well! My mind went in a completely different direction when the leader closed the window shield. I thought maybe something was happening on the earth that he didn't want the crew to see.

I enjoyed the story!

Said Little Red Riding Hood to the Big Bad Wolf, "You guys act real funny out here on the moon."

Lana Gramlich said...

Congratulations, baby. You're the best. :)

Barbara Martin, I've thought about a couple of different sequels. Not sure if I'll ever write them. Thanks.

Cloudia,
glad you enjoyed.

I'm a means to an end reader :) Just kidding. I enjoy reading but the ending is important to me and I love happy endings only!

I guess it was a happy ending to the couple.

Please let us know when you publish the sequence :)

Wow, Charles! Like I mentioned on the other site, I loved it. Beautifully written.

Vesper said...

Loved your story, Charles! (I also left a comment over there.)

So what did Lana say about your choice of names? :-)

jodi said...

Charles, the human touch made the story so believable. Loved the end twist! Multiples babies called a "pack". Perfect!

Charles Gramlich said...

Ocean Girl, Yeah, the werewolves were certainly happy. they had lined up a great future!

Laurie Powers, thanks Laurie, I appreciate that and you taking the time to comment.

Vesper, thanks, I appreciate you doing so. And I'm glad you liked it. Lana knows I did it to honor her feralness!

jodi, glad you liked. the multiple babies came to me at the last moment when I thought I was done with it, and I decided to throw it in.

Charles I enjoyed the story SO much!

Nice work, Charles! I loved the twisted ending. And I'm with Barbara- I can see another short story coming out of this.

Charles Gramlich said...

Jennifer, glad you enjoyed for Halloween.

Rick, thanks. Most of the ending twists came to me at the last minute as I was putting the finishing touches on.

I liked it a lot, Charles. It just goes to show it doesn't matter where you go, a person should always go armed. :)

L.A. Mitchell said...

That was quite a wicked twist there, Charles. Very well done. I was thinking the same as Travis. After I was thinking how can a pregnant woman stomach cleaning up a murder scene...now I know :)

Thanks for sharing...so perfect for Halloween.

Frea-ky.

Sums up my state of mind today.

Charles Gramlich said...

BernardL, good advice. Have you ever read Jerry Ahern's books? that could be their primary theme.

L.A. Mitchell, yeah, and the clean up as probably done in a way unpleasant for us to think about!

pattinase, thanks, and thanks for commenting at BTAP as well.

Avery DeBow, The moon is a harsh werewolf.

Christina, thanks! I'm so glad you enjoyed it.

David Cranmer, I'm glad it's being well recieved!

G, I'm looking forward to watching some freaky TV this weekend.

Mary Witzl said...

I like that, Charles. And I didn't see it coming either. I'm glad I'm not one of the crew/prey on that ship.

Charles Gramlich said...

Mary, well maybe the werewolves would spare you!

Kathleen A. Ryan said...

Loved it, Charles. Wonderfully crafted, perfectly chilling for Halloween! Thanks for the "treat."

Randy Johnson said...

Kathleen, thanks. I appreciate the good words.

Randy, glad you enjoyed.
