Much To Do
Really feeling pretty swamped today so only a brief post. I may not be making the rounds of everyone's blog for a day or two as well. We have job candidates interviewing this week, as well as many other things to deal with.
The picture is the cover to an anthology that should be coming out in April. I have a humorous fantasy story in it called "Mirthgar." I'll be posting more about it as the publication time arrives. Also, The Illuminata will be publishing it's first issue on its new bimonthly schedule within a few days. I'll announce it when it happens but I'll have a piece in there on Front and Back loading of information in stories. I'm pretty sure that Bret, the editor, is still looking for reviewers for the newsletter so if you like reading and reviewing SF, Fantasy, and horror, you might check it out.
Have a great day.

Hope the work and the interviewing go well.
No problem, Charles. I definitely understand feeling swamped.
The cover for the anthology is cool. The wizard being held in the dragon's mouth is hilarious. I'm really curious about your story. I'll have to check that out when it comes out...
Thanks for stopping by and saying hi .. how long are you two together?
Hey Charles,
Hope all the work stuff goes okay! I hate that feeling of being overextended. That was last week for me -- now I'm on spring break and life is good now that I'm in Texas and out of the icebox that is Detroit.
Congrats on the story!
Battle bravely, noble warrior. You shall emerge from the swamps victorious!
And congrats on the humour piece!
Sorry you're so busy, baby. Just keep telling yourself; "Easter break is around the corner...Easter break is around the corner..."
Julie, it'll get done.
Demon hunter, yeah I like the cover. I haven't written a lot of humorous stuff but it fun for a change of pace.
Daryl e, Lana and I have been together close to four years, and just married since last October.
Michelle, we have spring break next week and I am so looking forward to it.
Billy, thanks,
Steve Malley, most likely, but with perhaps a few new scars.
Lana, ahh, yes indeed. I'm dreaming of an easter break, with you.
I'm looking forward to reading this!
I like the pseudo-Anglo-Saxon title, Mirthgar. Best of luck getting through the swamp. Up here in the Midwest, we have marshes instead of swamps, but nobody's ever marshed.
Mirthgar indeed. By gar.
A humorous fantasy. At last!
I can really dig the concept.
Congratulations on the publication of your Mirthgar story.
I've been too swamped to do my usual blog reading myself, so I understand perfectly.
Take care of business and we'll see you when we see you.
Charles,
You are a lucky man. I need to follow your spell.

Love the cover! Congratulations, and looking forward to hearing more!
Yes, real life does creep in once in a while....
:-)
Congratulations on the story! *Twilight Zone music playing now* I just came back from a whirlwind overnight to San Antonio to "indoctrinate" my new hire, so work is taking us in similar directions apparently. As long as he leaves that seed pod I put in his laptop case under his bed tonight when he goes to sleep, he'll fit right in...mmmwwaahahaha!
Hi Charles, if you happen to have time, anytime in the future, here's a poem by Reményik Sándor that I translated.
It's my version, my reading...but nice enough to get a glimpse into the imaginary and word selection of the poet.
It's about the poet's feelings towards Nature.
It's here:

Looks and sounds like a true Hoot!
Congrats -- cool Barbarella-ish meets Tolkien cover . . .
Candice, I hope it's funny. The editors claimed it was.
Steve, the "Mirthgar" title was a take off on "Midgaar" and such.
Ivan, I've bragged on occassion on my lack of a sense of humor, but folks keep telling me this one is funny. Who knew.
Shauna, hope your swampiness dries up soon.
Travis, aye.
Tara, yes, I have some luck now and then.
Christine Eldin, darn this real life.
Szelsofa, I will check it out in the next day or so.
Lisa, pod people are cute.
Bernita, I hope so. I haven't seen any of the other stories in the book but there are some cool titles.
Erik, that's a good compliment. I'm pretty fond of Barbarella.
Charles: Congrats on the anthology! Woot!
Spring break is over for this FL college student. Back to school Friday. Ugh! Time flies while you're in the break, for sure.
OK. Know you're busy but keep an eye on BookEnds - they just might start the thriller contest tomorrow... maybe.
Mirthgar is a lovely word and one which brings a smile with it!
Congratulations on the story and good luck with the interviewing :-D
Happy interviewing.
Hey Charles, I completely understand! Take your time dude, we will all be here! Awesome about the anthology! That cover is really cool!
Congratulations on the upcoming releases. I can't say much about you not commenting, as I have been a nonentity for over two weeks. Hope the workdays pass smoothly for you.
Josephine, I hope mine doesn't pass too quickly. Looking forward to it.
Miladysa, I used Mirth throughout the tale, I have a Mirthdale, Mirthton, and a Great Mirth Valley, and others.
Travis Erwin, at least I do when we take them to lunch.
Ello, yeah, I like the cover quite a bit.
Avery, we all go through phases.
