Too much grading to do much posting of late, although coming in at six in the morning has allowed me time to visit quite a lot of blogs for the last couple of days. I give two more tests today and have a late meeting so will not be around tomorrow. I hope to have my grades turned in by Saturday. That would be heaven.
In the meantime, though, Evan Lewis has a nice review up over at Davy Crockett's Almanack about Write With Fire. Naturally I'd like to share it.
Thanks. Evan.

Just give everyone a "B", and you'll have plenty of free time !
ReplyDeleteHeff, you have no idea how vicious the ones could be who were expecting "A's." It's a new world, man.
ReplyDeleteGrades near done, too. I play the "boss" card too often to get hit with complaints about them.
ReplyDeleteThat was one very fine review.
ReplyDeleteRon, yeah, but you look like you might just take them out. I'm gonna have to work on my "don't mess with me" look.
ReplyDeleteBernardl, twas for sure! :)
Give the right grades is hard, i see.Hope you don't get students complaining!
ReplyDeleteHey, you're almost done for the semester... Like Heff, I'll take a B and keep my mouth shut.
ReplyDeleteyaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!
ReplyDeleteWriters everywhere are in your debt for Write With Fire, Charles.
ReplyDeleteGotta love the good reviews! :-D
ReplyDeleteI put Write With Fire on my Amazon wish list. I will probably buy it myself if no one gifts it to me. :)
ReplyDeleteCharles, just soldier on buddy, Christmas break is coming...

ReplyDeleteMy husband does some grading, too - he basically lets everyone pass, so they won't return anad bother him any longer.
ReplyDeletejokes aside, he does a thorough job, but only gives 1-s when he really has to.
in Hungary the best grade is 5 (when you give A) and the worst is 1 (uhm, D-?)
congrats on the new book!!
Deka, I always get a few but I'm kind of used to it.
ReplyDeletesage, if only more students felt that way. Or maybe for some even a "C".
laughingwolf, agreed!
Evan Lewis, thanks, man. I appreciate it.
Steve Malley, it does wonders for one's mood for sure.
Tom, I appreciate it. Hope it comes as a gift. That's the best way to get books!
jodi, so close I can taste it. It tastes like eggnog.
SzélsőFa, thanks. Low grades almost always bring out the arguments, but I do tell students I don't give grades. They earn them.
Wishing you... heaven!

Charles, I don't suppose a digital version of "Write With Fire" is going to be available anytime soon, is it?
ReplyDeleteCloudia, that's a pretty big wish. I appreciate it.
ReplyDeleteTy Johnston, borgo is actually working on doing ebook versions of their books but they are way behind and I think they are doing fiction first. anyway, that means it'll probably be quite a while before this one gets ebooked.
