You'd think I'd have more time to write information heavy posts since I'm off from school, but I've been spending most of my free hours lately working on the two Graphic Novel articles that I agreed to do. Good progress so far. The hardest part has been identifying other scholarly works that address the books, since graphic novels are only beginning to be taken seriously in the larger world.
So, here's another promo type post if you will, wherein I talk about myself. Egads, that sounds pretty boring even to me. But, there are some good things going on at the moment. David J. West has a review of Bitter Steel up over on his "Nephite Blood, Spartan Heart blog. Thanks to David for the kind words.
Also, Swords of Talera is now officially a "Nook Book," at $4.79. That's purty cool. At least to me. The second and third book in the series are scheduled to be released as ebooks eventually, probably in the new year.
I already mentioned here that Cold in the Light is also available as an ebook now, although apparently not yet for Kindle. It's available for only $2.84 at the Google Ebookstore. The link is here if you were wondering.
One of these days I'll put up another, more substantive post. I promise.

I like that reference to "the larger world". I'm going to use that and stop saying "the real world," since I always feel the need to qualify that phrase.

Ron, I agree. I never know how to take it when someone says that I don't live in the real world because I'm a teacher. It's a weird phrase.

People don't understand the effort that goes into creating a graphic novel - or even a comic book for that matter. They are a work of art on many levels!

I'm really glad to see the Talera books coming out in ebook. I think the ebook world will be a fantastic thing niche markets like Sword and Planet, and I LOVE those books! :)

I have this collection of fantasy/mythology tales someone (I can't recall the editor's name!) put together in the 1930's. I read them when I was younger, although if my mom knew what I was reading she probably would have taken them away! They were epic, dark, and inspiring. This review reminds me of them. Sounds like a very cool collection. I need an ebook reader!
Why don't you bundle them together as a discount package of three for the holidays? OR maybe that's not possible.

Harry Markov, the discount idea is a good one. I think they do have all three Taleran books for sale cheaper than if you bought 'em independtly. But it would really have to come from the publisher.

Good deal on moving more into ereaders. I think we both prefer real books, but to ignore ebooks is just sticking your head in the sand. They are not going away and if one wants to get younger readers...you know most of them are never going to be out of reach of an electronic device...writers need to embrace them.
