War of the Woods

Lana got a picture of this in our backyard the other night. I have a pretty good guess as to what it is. But I could be wrong. Could be that intelligences far greater and colder than my own are watching my house, scrutinizing and studying Lana and myself. Could be that tonight I’m posting with infinite complacency on my blog while the warmth of my home is watched with envious eyes and plans are being laid against me. Could be.

Could well be.

Charles, I think somewhere in the dark, you are being watched by Marvin the Martian.

Heh, heh

*Gestures the evil dwarf back into the woods, mouthing, "He's on to us!"*

Spooky! Any accompanying sounds?

...Just for a laugh I pasted rh shot into a photo editor and used a mosaic effect.

It came out as a stunning olympic class football with headlights for playing in the dark.

I'll split the millions with you if we can market it....

There's an unlimited potential of evil lurking in the dark.

Hmmm, they say human eyes don't shine...

Josie, could be. Could well be.

Lana. *Gives her a look*

Wayne, bigger than a cat, my friend.

Lisa, I'd like to say it was accompanied by "the crunching of bones," but alas there was nothing unusual.

Julie, I'd like to see that. Agreed on splitting the millions.

JR. What evil lurks in the heart of the woods? Only the lurker knows.

Bernita, what about "half-human?"

Erik, that's what they always say just before the abductions begin.

THat's pretty cool! I would so love to see that in my backyard and scare my kids with it! Eat all your dinner or that thing with the glowing eyes will come and get you! Ha that would be great! I know I"m sick.

I'd be in my house frantically telling myself "it's just a racoon, it's just a racoon."

Creepy! Now why do I have the feeling something is watching me?

What...you didn't go out and look? It could have been Ziggy stardust looking for our leader, Charles Gramlich. Oh the missed opportunity now it may be another millennium before they come back.

Peace

Mark, perhaps I did go out. Perhaps I was...converted. Perhaps I'm going to start visiting all of my blogging friends. Perhaps...

Ello, yeah, I used to tell my son a few scary stories. Once I told him the "Three Little Pigs" in vampire version. He's 20 now and still remembers it.

Travis, humans are so dependent on being able to see everything that seeing just something like that is kind of eerie.

SQT, but even it if were racoon shaped, would that mean it was truly a racoon? Might it not be a mimic?

Sid, never thought of that.

Wayne, I'll reveal the likely answer today. It won't be such a surprise.

Lana, smooches,

Julie, you? exaggerate? I don't believe it.

Etain, yeah, they're in the hills too.

Church lady, yeah, much like the picture of Jesus my mom had up at home when I was a kid. The eyes always followed you.

what do you think it is? Reminds me of the Mothman.

Interesting.

Oooo. As I moved around the room, those luminous eyes followed me. Have to shake off the cold chills now!

Just the right size and spacing for an owl. But the Alien Invader theory is much more appealing ;)
