Post Surgery

They started the surgery an hour late but finally got it done. The doctor said it came out well and that the main problem was some bone spurs and a tear in the tissue that connects the bone to the shoulder. They repaired all that.

Lana is pretty miserable at the moment. Her throat is very sore from the intubation and she’s having quite a bit of pain. She didn’t really get to sleep until about 5:30 this morning. But hopefully she will feel better soon. We’ll both rest easier. Then I’ll be returning to regular blogging and blog visiting.

  1. Ugh - I am very familiar with that sore throat thing. Hopefully they will let her go home soon so she can get some real rest. Thanks for keeping us updated, Charles and I'm glad at least the surgery went well. Tell Lana I'm thinking of her.

  3. The post surgery stuff is the pits. It messes with your immune system too so watch who comes to visit. She'll be really susceptible to airborne blights.

  7. Hey Charles,

Sending all my love and good thoughts to you and Lana! Surgery is evil. And yes, very familiar with the intubation. That is the worst of it, I do believe, in some ways. Here's hoping she feels better soon!

  15. It takes a bit to feel better after all that. The throat pain is the horrible along with the pain from the surgery.

Wishing her and you the best.
