Vicious Verses and Reanimated Rhymes is out. If you’re wondering why I’m telling you this, it's because 1) I like zombies a lot, and 2) I have a poem in it. The poem is called “Forever,” and is only one of 90+ poetic visions of zombies. Here’s the basic blurb about the collection from the publisher:

By the way, I forgot to mention in my excitement over Write With Fire that the most recent Illuminata is also out. There’s a very interesting article on “Reading is Dead; Long Live the Literate!” There’s also a bunch of reviews, and I’ve got an article in there called “Reading Books On Writing." This is a new piece, which isn't in Write With Fire and hasn't appeared on this blog before. The issue is Volume 7, Issue 3, July 09 here.

Durn. With cookies I'm totally illiterate and incompetent. Same as with the Stock Market. I get confused between the Mazdac and the Marquis de Sade... Like the S+M 500, or whatever. I have no idea how to set up for PDF or Adobe. Blame it on a luddite childhood. And an old computer.

ivan, The difference between the Mazdac and the Marquis de sade, is that you invest money with one and blood and sweat with the other. I've never seen a voodoo zombie and am rather happy about that.

I certainly agree with you about the Zinsser book. It was the first book I fell upon when I started trying to write and still my favorite. I think I'll read it again and look for a few of the others.

Psychologists today deduce that it's a complex.
My Jamnaican friend say it best, at leat to me, "You all f*cked up, man."
Ivan, Incubi and succubi are cool ideas. I've long believed that the story of the incubus comes out of the disorder called Sleep Apnea.
