Lana's Blogiversary and Moonrat Day

Politics aside, today is notable for two other reasons. I give you these below.

1. Today is the one year blogiversary of my lovely wife, Lana. Her "The Dreaming Tree" has gained her quite a bit of recognition, and in honor of the support that everyone has given her, she's going to be giving away one of her awesome paintings. I'd try to win it myself but I get to see them all as they are being created. And that's the absolute best. Check her blogiversary post out and enter to win HERE.

2. It's Moonrat day in honor of our favorite editor. To play along, win prizes, make comments, write haiku, and enjoy many other fun things, check out Celebrating the Moonrat. I think you'll enjoy.

  14. I'll have to go over and see the art pieces she has up. I really enjoy her art and nature pictures.

I think she's slowly convincing me to move to a less crowded, more green environment.

  15. Both of your blogs have provided inspiration in my own writing: Lana's for her paintings and photographs, and Charles, for your indepth explanations on writing and writers.

  33. Geez.

I my first year of my own blog, I thought I'd show a little flash by republishing some of my old short stories.

    The result in comments? zero.

    Guess I didn't impress them.

But the unpublished lady bloggers, some with an edge, could draw 40 comments every time.
No, not Lana. She draws them in, but she has talent.

  34. Vesper, it certainly does.

Ivan, I think some of it has to do with how may comments folks leave on other blogs. Someone who comments a lot will likely get quite a few comments back. Or so it seems to me.
