Lana's Photo, and other Sessy Things

I've put the cover of Wanting the Mouth of a Lover on my sidebar. Clicking it will take you to Spec House of Poetry in case you want to pick up a copy. I'm not sure why the image is bigger than the other book images, or why it's set further to the right, but, hey, it's there.

I've also added links to more blogs I visit, although I didn't get them all. My list is so long now that it's hard to be sure who I've added and who I've not. If I didn't get your link up, please let me know. I no longer go through my link list every day. I'm depending on Google Reader to identify new posts. If not for that I'd have no time for anything but blogging.

Lana, who did the great cover for the chapbook, has a photo entered in a contest, and I think it's the best one there. She has the link on her blog where you vote, so if you get a chance and want to look at some great photos please stop by her blog and follow the link to vote.

Finally, I didn't get a chance to point out that the Book Roast is happening again. You can win free books, so check it out.

  4. It may be a quirk of my browser, but I'm not seeing any book links, including the new one.

I'm like Steve. I hate to admit it, but my medical writing blog, the one that brings me writing gigs, is about four years out of date. The resume there still gives my old New Orleans address. No wonder so few people have contacted me about work since we moved here. I too want to find out your secret of creating time.

  5. Steve Malley, well, today I didn't get any writing done, and I was off work. I did manage to get in a few errands as well, though

Laughingwolf, I thank you and Lana thanks you for your vote.

Lisa, yeah, Lana and I are the Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt of Abita SPrings. LOL.

Shauna, I'm using internet explorer and they show up. But I've seen blogs where I can't see pics and things either. Not sure of the cause. Today I basically set aside for getting caught up on stuff. I've put it off too long

  9. Title of Pic: Darth Vader vs. The Tree Monster. Why isn't everyone running for cover?

  10. Ivan, yeah, did you like Dick's big black suit?

X-Dell, I should have gotten more pics of Babel Con but I was constantly on the run. Yeah, Lana's pic is great.

Greg, thankee. I thank you and Lana thanks you.

  11. Actually, Charles, I can vote several times because of my multiple personalities and secret identities. Jonny Algiers. Vince Cthulhu. Spartacus Marlboro Mitchum. Before they untangled my web of deceit the contest will have been won by fair Lana. Its a great photo, needless to say.

  12. And here I thought that the reason to be a teacher was to have the summers free from work. I am curious...what do you do when you take a vacation Charles? ha ha ha

  13. Wow, an impressive collection of written words by you here Charles. I'm jealous. I only had four poetry chap books published, a couple of short stories and an entry in an anthology where MD was born.

I will check out Lana soon. I'm sitting here now because the rest of today and possibly tomorrow David will hog the computer and I wont have a chance. Great amount of links. I'm like you and can't go to all of mine at once, would take up the rest of my life.

    xx and lol

  18. Wayne, you are a man, uhm, I mean "men," of many talents.

Mark, good question. I'll have to ask Lana.

Monique, can I find information about your chapbooks on your site?

Sam, yes, it is quite fun.

Bernita, thank you. I should have taken more.

Heff, who knows what lies "behind the mask."

Laughingwolf, I've heard lots of good things about firefox.

  19. I like Google reader. It took me a while to get into using it but it's handy since I plugged it into my Google home page. Custom home pages always seemed clunky to me in the early 2000s but Google's is really useful.

  20. Great cover! As someone who was born without a poet's soul but always wished I had one, I'm very, very impressed.

  21. It's a great cover. I'll vote as soon as I can figure it out. :)

  22. Sidney, I've found that it's cut way back on the amount of time I have to spend accessing the blogs I need to read.

Candice, I think a poet's soul is usually twisted and black. But I'm cool with that.

William Jones, thanks. Yeah, I like the cover. My wife is really a fine artist.

  26. Marmite Toasty, glad you're feeling up to exploring around blogs a bit. Thanks for voting.

Travis, it's easy to get behind.

Bernardl, he's a staple of the con.
