Readed. And to not double-comment, i say today i'm finishing "Cugel's Saga" (Vance is one of my favourite writers). Then i'm going into a sword & planet travel beginning with Amulric, of course!

Charles,

To use a ten-cent word, you're ubiquitous--all over the web, and that is good.

Charles Gramlich said...

Deka, oh I envy you. I wish I had Almuric to read for the first time.

Ivan, if only there were myriads of me rather than one.

Deka, Oh, I've fot several different versions but I envy you for gatting to read it for the first time. I'll never have that chance again.

Deka, I looked up Emilio Salgari. Wow, these sounds just down my alley. I see he's got quite a bit of stuff on Amazon so my next order will include some Salgari. thanks for the heads up.

You're welcome Charles ;)

Steve Malley said...

Will do. And thanks for buying my book! :)

Charles Gramlich said...

Deka, yep.

Steve, I'm enjoying it. I tried uploading to Smashwords and managed to get the toc to be clickable, but there are weird things in the text where format completely changes. Even though in my ms word file it is all the same formatting.

Someone said that we read books to know that we're not alone. I didn't know this as a kid, when I was reading the Black Stallion and Albert Payson Terhune's dog books. But along the way it dawned on me, especially when I didn't want a book to end and turning the last page was like losing a friend.

Charles Gramlich said...

David, thanks for commenting over there man.

Ron, I read the Jim Kjelgaard dog books. Still have such fond memories of both Farly and Kjelgaard.

I still often find finishing a novel is like losing a friend. I also think it's one of the reasons series novels are so popular.

Heck, I sometimes even have the feeling when I'm done writing and editing one of my own novels. It too feels like I'm saying goodbye.

Ty, when I first finish writing a book I often have a period of great glee! then I go into withdrawal and some level of melancholy at its ending.

Pattinase,thankee.

Laughingwolf, thanks, man.
